Class A baseball in Shakopee, Minnesota

The Shakopee Indians are an amateur baseball club from Shakopee, Minnesota, playing Class A in the River Valley North League under the Minnesota Baseball Association. They went 15-19 in 2026 under manager Gary Schleper at Joe Schleper Stadium.

The manager's surname is the stadium's name, which is the sixth such pairing in this set after Atwater, Elko, Granite Falls, Maple Plain and Regal. Here it is a stadium rather than a field, in Tahpah Park, and Joe Schleper was somebody Shakopee thought enough of to name it after.

Thirty-four games is among the longest seasons here, alongside Chaska, Dundas and Minnetonka.

Shakopee fields two clubs at the same address. The Indians are Class A at sixty-three points and went 15-19. The Shakopee Coyotes are Class B at forty-four and went 2-20. Between them, seventeen wins and thirty-nine defeats out of one stadium.

The Chaska Cubs, in the same league, went 25-9.

Gary Schleper manages at Joe Schleper Stadium, and the other Shakopee club uses it too. High Cheese gives the Indians a page where the name pairing gets explained.
