Named for the summer people
Alexandria Black Sox, Ashby Athletics, Kensington Norsemen, Long Prairie Predators, Sauk Centre Titans and Urbank-Parkers Prairie Bombers.
The Resorters is the only league in this directory named after an economy rather than a place, a river or a direction. This is Douglas and Otter Tail county lake country, where the population multiplies every July and the towns exist substantially to serve it.
Kensington called itself the Norsemen, which is a direct reference: the Kensington Runestone was dug up there in 1898 and the argument about whether it is genuine has never fully stopped.
Sauk Centre is Sinclair Lewis's town, the model for Main Street.
Urbank and Parkers Prairie share a club. Alexandria are Class A; the other five are Class C Region 11.
High Cheese gives a league its own address with the schedule, the table and the rosters on it.
