Class B baseball in Roseau, Minnesota

The Roseau Royals are an amateur baseball club from Roseau, Minnesota, playing Class B in the Northwest Border League under the Minnesota Baseball Association. They went 12-5 in 2026 under manager Nathan Voll at Gilbertson Field.

Roseau sits about nine miles from the Canadian border in the far northwestern corner of Minnesota, a town of roughly two thousand three hundred. It is a hockey town first, one of the most successful in American high school history, and it fields a Class B baseball club in the short window between the ice going out and going back in.

Twenty-three classification points, and seven games over .500 in a league that also runs down to Bemidji and Hibbing. The road trips out of here are among the longest in organized amateur baseball anywhere in this directory.

Gilbertson Field is where the Ada Athletics lost twice on the same afternoon this summer, 3-0 and 5-0, which is a long drive home from a town this far north.

This is the third Royals in the Minnesota set.

A hockey town nine miles from Manitoba, winning twelve baseball games in the gap between seasons. High Cheese gives Roseau the page where the gap is the interesting part.
