Recruited, not registered
Nothing is published about joining: no form, fee, deadline or roster limit.
At Class A the clubs assemble rosters actively, so the conversation usually goes the other way. That works for a good player already known in the north metro and not at all for anybody else.
Shoreview are 4-25 and Elk River 5-14, both in suburbs of a metropolitan area of three and a half million.
High Cheese gives a league a free agent pool, so a good player nobody has heard of can be seen by ten clubs at once.
Metro Minny League in detail
- Ten Class A clubs across the north metro, including the LoGators and the Stumpgrinders.
- Seventeen or eighteen league games each, which makes this the season.
- Forest Lake 14-4, Monticello on eight straight wins from fourth, Shoreview 4-25 overall.
- No results, and a Shoreview side that has conceded 95 more than it has scored.
- Ten clubs, and one of them is three hours away.
- Run differential from plus 75 to minus 95, a 170-run spread at one grade.
- No contact for the league or any of its ten clubs.
- No ballparks named, and one club a hundred and fifty miles from the rest.
- Class A Section 3 for all ten, so nothing separates these clubs but baseball.
- Nothing specific to this league appears in the association's feed.
- No album or gallery.
- Nobody is thanked in public.
- Ten Class A clubs, all in the same section, all chasing the same places.
- No founding year, and ten Class A clubs in one section.
- No league officers named; the association publishes its own board.
- How good it is, answered precisely. Everything practical, not at all.
- Association documents and classification criteria, none of them this league's.
- Fifteen to eighteen league games played, and no dates published.
- Nothing is for sale.
- No crew or assignor is named.
