Class A baseball in Circle Pines, Minnesota
The Centennial Cougars are an amateur baseball club playing Class A in the Metro Minny League under the Minnesota Baseball Association, at Baldwin Park in Circle Pines, Minnesota. They went 10-18 in 2026 under manager Joseph Cyzewski.
Seventy-nine classification points is a serious metropolitan grade, and eight games under .500 is not what that number is supposed to produce. The Metro Minny is the deepest league in the state and it punishes a club that is graded high and playing short.
Centennial is a school district rather than a town, covering Circle Pines, Lino Lakes, Centerville and Blaine. Naming the club after the district is how four northern suburbs end up with one team instead of arguing about whose name goes first.
Four suburbs field one club and the association records it as Centennial, which explains nothing to anybody from outside Anoka County. High Cheese gives the Cougars room to say who they are.
