Class B baseball in Saint Benedict, Minnesota

The St. Benedict Saints are an amateur baseball club from Saint Benedict, Minnesota, playing Class B in the Dakota Rice Scott League under the Minnesota Baseball Association. They went 6-17 in 2026 under manager Wade Olsen at The Ben.

The ballpark is called The Ben. Definite article, first syllable, nothing else. Saint Benedict is an unincorporated Scott County settlement with a church, a road named after it and a baseball club, and it has shortened its own patron saint to a nickname for the diamond.

Twenty-seven classification points for a place with no incorporated population at all. The ballpark is filed under New Prague, whose own club plays Class B in the same league and went 15-11.

The Dakota Rice Scott is the most uneven division in this set: Elko at 21-7-2, New Market at 13-8, Faribault at 13-12-1, Montgomery at 7-15, Lonsdale at 3-18-1, Shakopee Coyotes at 2-20 and now Saint Benedict at 6-17.

A ballpark called The Ben, in a settlement with no incorporated population. High Cheese gives St. Benedict the page where a definite article and a first syllable count as a name.
