New Prague Orioles

Class B baseball in New Prague, Minnesota

The New Prague Orioles are an amateur baseball club from New Prague, Minnesota, playing Class B in the Dakota Rice Scott League under the Minnesota Baseball Association. They went 15-11 in 2026 under manager Nick Schoenecker.

Fourteen classification points is the lowest Class B figure anywhere in this set, below Maple Plain at fifteen and North Branch at sixteen. That is a mid Class C number, and New Prague are playing a grade above it and finishing four games over across twenty-six.

The Dakota Rice Scott League is the most uneven division here: Elko at 21-7-2, New Market at 13-8, Faribault at 13-12-1, Montgomery at 7-15 and Lonsdale at 3-18-1. Four ties and a twenty-eight game spread between top and bottom.

New Prague straddles the Le Sueur and Scott county line, a town of about eight thousand founded by Czech immigrants, which is where the name came from and why the festival in September involves a great deal of kolacky.

Fourteen points is the lowest Class B grade in Minnesota and New Prague finished four games over twenty-six. High Cheese gives the Orioles the page to make that claim properly.
