Class B baseball in Minnetrista, Minnesota
The Westonka Waves are an amateur baseball club playing Class B in the Crow River Valley South League under the Minnesota Baseball Association, at Fritz-Soule Field in Minnetrista, Minnesota. They went 8-14 in 2026 under manager Mike Mitchell.
Westonka is the school district covering Mound, Minnetrista, Spring Park and the western end of Lake Minnetonka, and the name is a contraction of west and Minnetonka. The club is the Waves, which on a lake that size is a fair description.
The ballpark carries two surnames joined by a hyphen, which is unusual: most grounds in this set are named for one person, and Farming's Schleper Brothers Field is the only other to acknowledge more than one.
Nineteen classification points is a low Class B grade, and the Crow River Valley South is otherwise a Class C division of very small towns that mostly outperform their numbers.
A school district contraction, a lake, and a fifty-four-year-old on a Class B bench. High Cheese gives Westonka the page where the range across three decades is visible.
