Wilkommen Park. German for welcome, spelled with one L where the language uses two, in a Carver County city settled by German immigrants. The town holds a Stiftungsfest every August, which claims to be the oldest continuous German festival in Minnesota.

Norwood and Young America merged in 1997, and both halves kept a baseball club. The Norwood Indians play Class C in the Crow River Valley South and went 9-14. The Young America Cardinals play Class B in the North and went 16-6. One city, two divisions, two classifications, twenty-five wins between them.

Thirty classification points, and sixteen wins in twenty-two games is well ahead of it.
