Connecticut Adult Baseball League

About the Connecticut Adult Baseball League

Ten clubs, nine more remembered by name, and career leaders kept across every season.

Badgers, Blue Jays, Chiefs, Diamondbacks, Expos, Hornets, Hoss Dental, Pirates, Royals, Wombats

Ten current clubs, and one of them is called Hoss Dental, which is a sponsor's name worn as a team name and the most honest arrangement in amateur baseball.

What sets this league apart is the second list. It keeps a Past Teams section naming nine clubs that no longer play: Bad News Bears, Devils, Ducks, Expos (2018), High Life's, Phillies, Ravens, Rockies and Warriors.

Almost nobody does that. A league usually deletes a folded club and moves on. This one keeps the name up, with the year attached where two clubs shared one, so a man who played for the Ravens can still find them.

High Cheese keeps every season as standings, box scores and rosters, so a club that folds leaves a record rather than a gap.
