Class B baseball in Northfield, Minnesota
The Northfield Knights are an amateur baseball club from Northfield, Minnesota, playing Class B in the Classic Cannon Valley National League under the Minnesota Baseball Association. They went 9-9 in 2026 under manager Troy Deden at Sechler Park.
Twenty-eight classification points is upper Class B for a Rice County city of about twenty thousand holding two liberal arts colleges, Carleton and St. Olaf. Three miles south, Dundas fields a Class A club at ninety-two points off the same student population.
Northfield is where the James-Younger gang's bank raid failed in September 1876, and the town has been reenacting it every autumn for decades. The baseball club is the Knights, which has nothing to do with any of that.
Nine and nine is the third exactly level record in this set, after Andover and the two 16-16 clubs in the American division of the same league.
Two colleges in town and a Class B club that does not simply recruit from them. High Cheese gives Northfield the page to say that is a choice.
