AMBA Peach State Classic and Playoffs

A fourth annual tournament with four champions crowned, and playoffs in progress.

Four divisions, four winners

The AMBA and Roy Hobbs Peach State Classic ran for a fourth year and crowned champions in four brackets: Atlanta Hurricanes at 25, Atlanta Redbirds at 40, East Coast Cardinals at 50 and Yonder Travelers at 60. The league thanks the volunteers and staff who ran it, which is the part that actually makes a tournament happen.

Its own season playoffs are live: the first round reached day two on Sunday August 9.

A club called the East Coast Cardinals winning a bracket in Atlanta says the Classic pulls from outside Georgia, which is a real thing this league has built. High Cheese runs a bracket end to end, seeded off the standings, so a tournament in its fourth year has a public record of the first three.

Atlanta Men's Baseball Association in detail

  • Metro Atlanta, divisions from 18 to 60-plus, a banquet at a Triple-A park and a phone number that answers.
  • Next games are announced as a sentence rather than published as a fixture list.
  • Playoffs are underway and no table is readable on the site.
  • Champions are published. Games are not.
