Sixteen to thirty-three
The Stark Longhorns publish a roster with jersey numbers, positions, ages, bats and throws, school and experience level. The ages on it run from sixteen to thirty-three.
Seventeen years, starting with a high school sophomore. A township with no town limits, in a league where three clubs are carrying fourteen-year-olds, is drawing from farms rather than from a school and reaching young because it has to.
None of it is reproduced here. A published roster is real people from Sleepy Eye with their ages and schools attached, and it is theirs rather than ours. Several of them are minors.
A roster running 16 to 33 is the most interesting thing about Stark Longhorns, and on High Cheese the club decides how much of it is public.
