Thirty-four to thirty-six
The Sabin Mets publish a roster with jersey numbers, positions, ages, bats and throws, school and experience level. Every age recorded on it falls between thirty-four and thirty-six.
A two year band, and an unusually old one. Every other partial age column in this set clusters young, around eighteen to twenty-one, because that is who somebody remembered to enter. Sabin's clusters in the mid thirties.
Whether that is the whole roster or a handful of entries, it is the only club here whose recorded ages start above thirty, and a village of five hundred playing Class A with men in their mid thirties is a fair description of how they got to 2-10.
We do not reprint it. It is a list of named people with their ages and schools attached, and Sabin Mets publishing it does not make it ours to copy.
A roster running 34 to 36 is the most interesting thing about Sabin Mets, and on High Cheese the club decides how much of it is public.
