Page 64697
The address our directory holds for this league is not a website. It is a page number -- n=64697 -- and an organisation code, scsmabl, inside a hosting service that no longer resolves.
So the league was the 64,697th page on somebody else's system, and that system has gone. Not the league's account, not the league's domain: the whole company's name has stopped mapping to a server.
There is no error page, no certificate warning, nothing to look at. Sixty-four thousand other numbered pages went at the same moment.
That is the most complete version of the risk every rented league site carries. The league did nothing wrong and has no recourse and no copy.
A High Cheese league page belongs to the league -- its own address, its own schedule, standings and rosters rendered as pages -- so the failure of a vendor is a migration rather than an erasure.
