Eighteen to forty-five
The Ortonville Rox publish a roster with jersey numbers, positions, ages, bats and throws, school and experience level. The ages on it run from eighteen to forty-five.
Twenty-seven years across the bench, from a town of two thousand graded at the floor of the system. That range is how the club got to thirteen games, and thirteen games is the achievement rather than the two wins.
None of it is reproduced here. A published roster is real people from Ortonville with their ages and schools attached, and it is theirs rather than ours.
18 to 45 on one bench is a fact worth surfacing, and High Cheese puts a club's roster where the club can shape it.
