Twenty to twenty-eight
The Hawley Hawks publish a roster with jersey numbers, positions, ages, bats and throws, school and experience level. The ages on it run from twenty to twenty-eight.
Eight years, no high school players and no veterans. That is a narrow band for a Class C club, and narrow bands mean the same men play most of the innings across a seventeen game season.
We do not reprint it. It is a list of named people with their ages and schools attached, and Hawley Hawks publishing it does not make it ours to copy.
20 to 28 on one bench is a fact worth surfacing, and High Cheese puts a club's roster where the club can shape it.
