Nineteen to twenty-four
The Luverne Redbirds publish a roster with jersey numbers, positions, ages, bats and throws, school and experience level. The ages on it run from nineteen to twenty-four.
Five years, top to bottom, which ties Dent and Lakeville for the narrowest genuine range in this set. Unlike those two, Luverne finished five games over with it, so a young squad with no veterans is not automatically a losing one.
It does mean the club is rebuilt every few summers as men leave for work or school, which is the recurring problem in the far corners of the state.
We do not reprint it. It is a list of named people with their ages and schools attached, and Luverne Redbirds publishing it does not make it ours to copy.
Luverne Redbirds hand their roster to a platform that decides how it looks; High Cheese hands that decision back to Luverne.
