The Fairmont Martins publish a roster with jersey numbers, positions, ages, bats and throws, school and experience level. The ages on it run from seventeen to thirty-eight.
Twenty-one years across the bench, starting with a high school junior. For a town of ten thousand carrying the top Class C grade in the state, that is a club drawing from the local school and from men well into working life at the same time.
None of it is reproduced here. A published roster is real people from Fairmont with their ages and schools attached, and it is theirs rather than ours. Several of them are minors.
