Fifteen to forty-five
The Atwater Chuckers publish a roster with jersey numbers, positions, ages, bats and throws, school and experience level. The ages on it start at fifteen and stop at forty-five.
Fifteen is the youngest age in the Minnesota set. A Class C club in a town of a thousand will give a high school freshman real innings, because there is nobody else to give them to, and that is precisely how this structure has replenished itself for a century.
We do not reprint it. It is a list of named people with their ages and schools attached, and Atwater Chuckers publishing it does not make it ours to copy. Several of them are minors.
A roster running 15 to 45 is the most interesting thing about Atwater Chuckers, and on High Cheese the club decides how much of it is public.
